I just remember that a few months back, I was doing some kind of research or
another and stumbled on some talking papers from an Independent Oil Companies
Consortium. One dated in February was advising the Clinton Administration to
stop discussing increases in oil production with the OPEC nations, because
the US oil companies needed there to be less production so the prices could
rise and they could make more money. At the same time there were papers
hammering McCain, Gore, and Bradley. Now that just leaves our friend Shrub.
Believe me, anything the oil companies do is for the oil companies, and the
Bush family has a lot of connection/influence, not to mention ownership, with
oil companies. Prudy
