An even more interesting case to watch may be the lawsuit just announced in
Florida
by -- I believe -- Jonnie Cochran of O.J. fame.
I just heard a brief soundbite, and I would appreciate more facts if anyone
has them.
Apparently, there was a hostage situation in Florida where an armed man was
holding
a young girl as a human shield. A police(?) sniper attempted to shood the
armed man and
instead hit the girl and killed her. Ooooops.
Cochran is alleging that the police are liable for wrecklessly firing into
a room knowing that
it contained innocent women and children.
Hello? Can you say Ruby Ridge? THAT is exactly what the feds did that
resulted in
the death of Randy Weaver's INNOCENT, UNINDICTED wife who was holding an
INNOCENT,
UNINDICTED infant.
I'm not sure whether of not the feds are involved in the Florida case, but
the facts are on
the surface VERY similar.
