From: http://www.ntsb.gov/Pressrel/2000/000728.htm NTSB Advisory National Transportation Safety Board Washington, DC 20594 July 28, 2000 NTSB MEETING: FINAL REPORT ON CRASH OF TWA FLIGHT 800 The National Transportation Safety Board will consider the final report on the investigation into the crash of TWA flight 800 at a two-day meeting beginning Tuesday, August 22, at 9:30 a.m., in the NTSB's new Boardroom/Conference Center located at 429 L'Enfant Plaza, SW, Washington, DC, 20594. TWA 800, a Boeing 747-131 on a scheduled flight from John F. Kennedy Airport, New York, to Charles DeGaulle Airport, Paris, France, crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near East Moriches, New York on July 17, 1996. All 230 passengers and crew aboard were killed and the aircraft was destroyed. Because of the high degree of media interest in this Board meeting, television coverage will be pooled. The NBC network will handle the pool arrangements, which will provide for on-site distribution to all news organizations. Space outside the meeting room will be provided for setting up video recording decks and monitors.
