Maybe I'm reading the "Profiles" part all wrong, but I rather resent how Pat
Robertson and the Christian Right (and even Farrakhan and the Nation of
Islam, and even Militia members), are lumped under this idea of "conspiracy"
for this Psychology of Conspiracy Theories" special theme issue, December,
2000, of _Clio's Psyche: Understanding the 'Why' of Culture,
Current Events, History, and Society_.
The theme of the issue seems to imply that the three groups have no right to
their ideas, that the imagine "conspiracies", and an implication that they
are hence extremists and fringe.
Unless I've read the whole "call for papers" wrong, but this is the
impression I get that this "special issue" is already slanted, in order to
elicit papers that show how the three groups are wrong, blinded by
fanaticism, and maybe even unwilling to go along with what is taken in the
"mainstream" as politikal korrektness.
Just a thought, but that's how it looks to me.
