A recent rash of black
helicopter and unmarked cargo plane sightings has the SGRA's Connecticut
office
on alert. Over the past week nearly 50 reports from New York, New Jersey, and
Conneticut have poured into the office by people who were woken up in the
night,
or happened to see these aircraft during the day. The team is working on
narrowing down exactly what types of aircraft are being seen, and have thus
far
concluded that the cargo plane seen flying extreemly low over Connecticut was
a
C-130 "Hercules". The Hercules is a two engine, propeller driven, aircraft
used
for transporting troops and loads of cargo to the front lines. The Hercules
is
unique because of it's ability to land on nearly any terrain (including ice
in
Alaska and the North Pole). One other unique feature is it's ability to fly
in nearly any weather condition making it used by the military as well
as weather groups and the world-famous "Hurricane Hunters" from
Florida.
We will continue to gather
reports and hopefully will be able to come to some conclusion as to this
rash of sightings. One theory being presented is that the events which
unfolded
in the middle east over the past week may be sturing up some of the
security forces within the United States. We have seen security at areas such
as
the Groom Lake facility in Nevada using black helicopters. However, why
these aircraft are being seen less than 500ft off the groud over highly
populated areas where there are no known bases for miles is still a
mystery.
If you've had any recent
sighting please feel free to let us know. This subject is up for discussion
on our online message board, and we welcome your comments. If you have any
