-Caveat Lector- These people who get upset at mention of the trial of a former MP for allegedly raping his students demonstrates somethng which I find really astonishing: The incredible ignorance of the moralists among us. These people are judging us by their standards, but they clearly are clueless about the 'real world'. There are a lot of Christian fundamentalists (probably quite a few on this list)who are concerned about Satanic messages hidden in rock and roll music. But they always seem to be concerned about bands like The Eagles and The Rolling Stones, who they paint as deeply Satanic, rather than the real Satanic heavy-metal bands like Sepultura, Cradle of Filth or Deicide. These bands don't have some dubious backwards masking saying 'Satan is my candy-floss' or similar. They quite clearly are glorifying Satan and calling for their followers to murder and sacrifice for him. But the Christians don't seem to have heard of them, and when I have told various Christians about them they seem unable to comprehend that this stuff they essentially dream up is tame compared to the real thing. Similar with pornography and child pronography. I don't doubt that those who claimed the original posting was 'child pornography' really believe that is true. Similar to those people who claim that pictures of Britney Spears shimmying or a few inches of Gillian Anderson's cleavage are 'Hard Core Porn'. I suspect if these people viewed some actual hard core porn their brains would jump out of their skulls. If, for academic purposes, any of you would like to see what some real pornography is, try visiting sites such as http://www.sublimethumbs.com, http://www.danabanana.com or http://www.thehun.com. I'll warn you now they all contain pictures of graphical sex acts (nothing underage though) that make the mind boggle. Now if you don't approve don't go there. If you do go there and look, don't start complaining to me or the list about being forced to look at the images, as no-one is forcing you to do anything. Some of these people, who presume to tell me what I should be doing, listening to, eating, watching, reading, etc. are ignorant, weak-minded, sheltered and divorced from reality.
