I've only read of Vlad impaling the armies of his enemies that he defeated in
battle...what 'whole villages'
did he also impale.
As for setting a table in front of the impalees and eating a hearty dinner, such
behavior is really no more
extraordinary than other military leaders of the period...it was hardly a gracious
time or place.
