In counting the undervotes in EACH county - any alleged bias would cancel out, human error would cancel out, and the nation and the world would finally know with some certainty who won Florida. There is no guarantee the votes would go to Gore. It's not even a higher probability that they would. It was an extremely close race. What's worth shrieking about? It looks REAL bad that GW's team fights with such fury to stop simple vote counting.
