Anarchy: The theory that regards the absence of all direct or coersive
government as a political ideal and that proposes the cooperative and
voluntary association of individuals and groups as the principal mode of
organized society.

And the problem with governing ourselves is...???? Instead of a top down
control structure with power concentrated at the top, how about a bottom
up control structure with power concentrated at the bottom. Sure, there
must be some 'organization' at a state and national level, but only very
limited in scope and power.

Very well, actually. Why should everyone think alike? Why should
Washington, or Salem have much of a say in how I run my daily life? Many
actually do live in semi-anarchy now in that they pay very little
attention to the Laws or Rules, yet manage to get along fine. You see,
most people are fully able to run their lives with out breaching the
trust and cooperation of their neighbors. That they can be arrested and
jailed for this is the proof that we are well down the road to where the
Constitution no longer matters.

Actually, if all anarchists could just find the
>Lord, they wouldn't be that far off.

So, with the blessing of christianity, anarchists would be right, but
without it they are not? It is thinking such as that that is at the core
of much of the problem many have with christians. If I live my life in
accordance within the 'social' precepts described in the bible, but
reject the 'religious' precepts, I am wrong, but if I accept the
'religious' precepts I am right? Interesting. That thinking was pretty
evident in the "christian" treatment of indigenous people world wide.
"Accept Christ or die".
