The Okkarthing from Juntastein. The Okkarthing is really a monster of course, far bigger than only one man. Parts of its tentacles can often be seen crawling around the gutters of London and other major cities, threatening exiles and searching for what it calls business. In this case, the business is running vast loads of heroin and meth abroad from its secret factories in the jungle, slave labour, genocide of the Karen and other non Burmese nations, and day to day torture. The Okkarthing from Juntastein has no real power. It is told what to say by its masters in Rangoon. And if it ever gets out of line, as sometimes happens. It is treated to about 9 years in some of the worst conditions any prison anywhere can supply. But one must not feel sorry for it, for in the end it will fight what is a "rear guard action". However, there is no way the junta, the "Perfect Dictatorship" (NYTimes Nov 2000) will last for much longer. It's agents are falling in the field.
