Yes oil and energy prices skyrocketed up.
Yes their were "gas lines"
Yes the U.S. economy was adversely impacted.
Yes about the thermostats and the 55 MPH speed limits.
BUT... NOT BECAUSE OF THE YOM KIPPUR WAR
AND NOT BECAUSE OF THE ARABS.
THAT WAS THE EXCUSE, NOT THE REAL REASON.
When the Ruling Cabal makes disruptive changes,
they always set up others to take the blame.
So Americans could cuss OPEC and the Arabs
with regard to high energy prices in the 70's.
They were the "patsies"...the "fall guys".
OPEC does not dictate nor control oil prices.
Ask yourself:
Who controls oil exploration?
Who controls oilwell drilling?
Who controls the oil pipelines?
Who controls the oil tankers?
Who controls the refineries?
Who controls wholesale gasoline distribution?
Who controls the huge gas retail chains?
The answer isn't "OPEC".
There was no shortage of crude oil or gasoline
in the 70's.
Oh yes...there was a shortage at the retail outlets.
That was artificially created to bamboozle the
public....and it worked.
People were willing...even glad to pay triple the
price for gasoline...just happy to get some.
But did you notice, that once the gas prices
had doubled and redoubled...suddenly there was
no more "shortage".
Once the price had risen to where they wanted it,
then there was plenty of gas.
