-Caveat Lector- Sure, it is far from perfect. I believe the testimony of non-Muslims is worth less as well, if anything at all. But under most western legal systems, I could go to a court and swear an affidavit that I saw you do something, and that could be enough for your arrest, imprisonment and possibly conviction. Of course the sceptics would say that all you have to do is get 2 of your friends to perjure themselves and back you up to convit an innocent person. But of course you can do this under our legal system, as the police do regularly.
