-Caveat Lector-
According to this item Bush won popular vote and in fact, I always
thought he had. If someone would check out New York - probably so
many illegal votes cast he could have taken the "melting pot".
Interesting item - I awaid for clarification and validation of this
count; however, out of Secretary of States office with both sides
observing - this should be interesting.
So Keep Your Powder Dry - and Open the Flood Gates -----Good Bye
Clinton.

NEW COUNT SHOWS BUSH MAY HAVE WON POPULAR VOTE Edited by D.
Carnegie on Wednesday December 20, @01:25PM NewsMax.com
Despite the widely accepted claim that Al Gore won the
popular vote by some 300,000 votes, a new count of state totals appears
to show George Bush was the real winner by nearly 2 million votes.
According to respected news analyst Mary Mostert, a report sent to her
by reader Don Boyd showed that Gore got a total of 50,753,172 votes
nationwide while Bush got 52,685,804 giving him a winning margin of
1,932,632. Wrote Mostert "While I have not checked all 50 states with
the Secretary of State official returns, I have checked all the big
states and a number of the smaller states. All the ones I have checked
are accurate, or modified very slightly with late absentee ballots,
which tilted towards George W. Bush. For those who want to personally
check these figures, go to the "Original Source" -
http://www.originalsources.com/Candidates/statepolitics.html which has
all the election information by state. Nearly all the states now have
their OFFICIAL, returns posted. "These figures were reportedly obtained
from the Office of the Secretary of State from each state but haven't
been confirmed...."
