{The elitist, TPTB, those who are manipulating the population at large, the NWO, Illuminati, whatever you choose to call it, have gotten more use and help in their endeavors from playing the race card than any other, even religion.  Everybody has a race, more or less, and is interested in seeing it advanced and usually even likes to think his own race is at least equal to all others.  One cannot be reared in any civilization without incurring some degree of racism if only in noting racial physical and cultural differences.  The same is true of any ethnic group even slightly different from our own.  A Swede would naturally note, say, Italians eating a different diet, etc.  In this sense, we are all racists.  When carried to extreme, this becomes a very negative and destructive trait.

Equally pernicious is race-baiting in the example of calling others "racists" when they are not or are no more than the one making the charge.  This is exactly the same thing, only the flip side of the coin.  It is as destructive as racism and is but another form of hate-mongering.

Racism and race-baiting are being used currently in the "divide and conquer"strategy first begun in the 2000 presidential election.  And they are being used with great success while the recession is ignored, the price of oil is being raised to fleece the drones even more, new wars are being instigated and their agenda marches on.  Florida is always a powder keg of racial and ethnic tensions with a diverse population and an ever-fresh influx of immigrants to insure instability in the make-up of the population with constant change.  Could that be why it was selected for playing the race card when the same things happened, according to the ACLU, in Illinois, Georgia and seven other states?  I think so.

Racism and race-baiting, inferring people are "Nazi" when they are not are all forms of hate crimes as surely as the ones they decry.  One would be well advised to consider carefully before making charges of this nature as they are not to be done lightly.  The character assassinations being so casually inflicted will have long-lasting ramifications and contribute to an atmosphere of malice and ill-will.  Opposing one's nomination to a cabinet position is one thing but to seek to label them as pure evil quite another.  Traditionally, the president was allowed to select a cabinet with minimum interference until recent years and now it seems as though it should be made up of only those approved by the opposite political party.  That makes no sense as it is the president who will be working with these individuals and should be his choice.

Race-baiting is always a cheap trick in that one cannot prove a negative--that one is NOT something.  That is very difficult to do.  But what I have seen of some of the "evidence" of racism is far from "proof" also.  John Irving's example of labeling somebody a "non-practicing homosexual" is a perfect example of a negative that could not be proven.  And always remember, be careful what you want because you might just get it in the "Anybody except _________" just as this country did in the case of the Shaw of Iran.  Just my opinion. The Liberal Jihad

This is what an editorial in the January 10th Wall Street Journal had to say: "With Linda Chavez now over the side, the blood is in the water. What a spectacle. In most parts of America, a woman who stretched out a hand to a struggling Vietnamese refugee, who paid for the schooling of two Puerto Rican children out of her own pocket, and who opened her home to a battered Guatemalan woman without first demanding to see her green card would be held up as an example. That's the difference between most of America and the Beltway, where a Linda Chavez gets reduced to a political scalp."

Granted Ms. Chavez should have alerted the Bush people to the Guatemalan woman she helped, rescuing her from a battered womans shelter, but it probably never even occurred to her. Since when has compassion become a crime in Washington, DC? This is the difference between conservatives who actually help people and liberals who just talk about helping people.

It also signals the deadly intent of the Democrats and liberal ideologues. The new administration is faced with a group of Beltway jackals bent upon total political warfare. What we are witnessing is a Liberal jihad, a holy war that intends to take no prisoners.

While it may be naove of me, I think most Americans have more in common with each other in terms of their expectations and hopes for the success of the new President than anything that may divide them. They are not concerned with the ideological battles inside the Beltway.

Americans want a militarily strong and secure America; they want schools that better prepare their children for a complex world; they would like to see the elderly have access to more affordable pharmaceuticals; they want a tax cut to insure our economy continues to grow and thrive. Most of all, they want an end to the criminal conspiracy of the Clinton administration that led to the many investigations and scandals that debased the office of the president and the agencies of government.

There is no "honeymoon" for President-elect Bush. There is only the desperate antagonism of Democrats and fellow liberals, labor unions, lockstep Blacks along with gay and lesbian groups still seeking preferential treatment; anti-gun ownership, anti-tobacco, anti-corporate, environmental, and the usual whiners and crybabies wedded to the failed policies of the past.

Choosing the Next UN Ambassador:

A Critical Choice for the Bush Administration

"The issue of national sovereignty will be on the line when the new Bush administration selects the person to be its ambassador to the United Nations," says Tom DeWeese, president of the American Policy Center. "Right now, it appears to be leaning toward people known more for their support of United Nations objectives, than people who are dedicated to preserving the sovereignty of this nation."

The American Policy Center is an activist think tank headquartered just outside Washington, DC. National sovereignty is a major concern of the Center. (Note: I am a consultant to the Center.) It has joined a coalition called The Committee for American Leadership to oppose the appointment of either former Congressman Lee Hamilton or former diplomat, John Whitehead, both mentioned as choices for the job.

Both Hamilton and Whitehead are associated with the United Nations Association (UNA-USA), the premier pro-United Nations lobbying organization in the US. The Association favors granting the UN the ever-widening powers of a world government.

"The United States is at a critical moment," says DeWeese, "able now with a Republican President-elect and a Republican Congress, to assert the most fundamental right of all governments, its national sovereignty, as determined by the oldest living constitution in effect." The Committee for American Leadership is supporting the appointment of former Ambassador Frank Ruddy, an international lawyer who has expressed concerns about the direction of the UN in the past.

Ambassador Ruddy was a Deputy Chairman of a UN Peacekeeping Referendum for the Western Sahara in 1994 and has testified regarding the flaws of UN operations worldwide. "Ambassador Ruddy represents an independent view of the UN," says DeWeese, "and has addressed UN corruption and comparable issues before Congress. He has served as general counsel to the US Department of Energy, US Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, and as an assistant administrator at the US Agency for International Development."

By contrast, the Center points out that former Congressman Hamilton is a Democrat and served on the board of the UNA-USA in 1999, while Mr. Whitehead has served as vice chairman of the organization. "Neither would serve the interest of the US to remain an independent nation, free of the ever-growing intrusion of the UN into the internal affairs of the US," says DeWeese. "The choice of US Ambassador to the United Nations will send a signal that American sovereignty is a priority of the new administration."

The telephone number of the Bush-Cheney Transition Office is (202) 513-7400. Let them know what you think. You can reach the Committee for American Leadership at (301) 855-2679.

The Latest Report on Human Extinction

On Friday, January 5th, Robert McClure, a reporter for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, wrote an article about the latest report predicting that the earth was incapable of supporting human life in the years ahead.

"Population and the Environment: The Global Challenge", written by Don Hinrichsen, a consultant to the United Nations Population Fund, and Bryant Robey, editor of the Johns Hopkins University journal, Population Reports, reportedly reviewed dozens of population studies to arrive at the conclusion that "it looks like mankind is rapidly overtaking the earths capacity to support humans, and its possible we are on the path toward extinction."

To McClures credit, it must be said that he included comments from those who knocked the report for all the usually good reasons, but I maintain it is the headline and first few paragraphs that always do the most damage with these stories. Consider what a difference it would have been if the headline said, "Scientists Say Population Report Has it Backwards" In fact, thats exactly what Jay Lehr, science director of the Heartland Institute is quoted as saying.

The usual signs and portents were trotted out for the authors of the report; increasing water use that accompanies "development of modern societies"; the supposed rapidly disappearing coastal wetlands; the supposed rapidly vanishing seagrass beds that shelter fish and other marine life; the supposed loss of forests, the supposed extinction of "about 5,200 species of animals"; air pollution, and, of course, "food is growing more scarce."

This is so typical of the bogus reports that Greens of every description have been issuing now for decades that one is tempted to ignore it and move on. Indeed, I could ignore it if the story wasnt being flogged in a leading US daily newspaper.

The real problem is that this kind of report gets trotted out every year (many times a year) and Americans are treated to yet another dose of Green lies, reinforcing all the previous Green lies. The Greens work on the theory that if you tell a lie enough times, it becomes the truth. No, it doesnt.

For instance: The United States feeds three times as many people with one-third as many total farmers on one-third less farmland than in 1900. If we could extend these modern farming methods to other nations and, in particular, developing nations, we could feed everyone on earth indefinitely. Even the UN admits that the earth currently produces over four pounds of food for everyone on the face of the earth every day. And, if we continue the development and use of genetically modified food crop seeds, we will feed the human race forever. Need it be said that the Greens oppose this?

There is very little evidence to support the notion that thousands of species are "endangered." Indeed, when was the last time you ever heard or read a single, documented fact to support this?

Forests are not disappearing except from the inane policies of the federal government that forbid the building of roads into our national forests and parks to properly manage and protect them. One of Clintons last criminal acts was to sign off on regulations to this effect. Last year in the US alone, 7.4 million acres of forests were lost to the biggest predator of all, fire. Can you imagine how many new homes could have been built if even a fraction of that lost timber had been harvested? Worldwide and since the dawn of time, parts of forests that are either harvested for timber or suffer catastrophic loss from a volcanic explosion always grow back! Thats what forests do!

The air, at least in the US, has never been cleaner. Over the 25-year period, 1962 to 1987, smog levels fell by more than half using an index of all urban areas. The rest of the world? Well, if something like electrification could be extended over areas of Africa or India, for example, maybe millions of people would not have to burn animal dung to cook the evening meal. Of course, that means having to burn "fossil fuels" or use clean nuclear energy and the Greens would never stand for that.

The point of this little exercise is to warn you, yet again, to understand the true purpose of these much- publicized reports. Back in 1980, even the US government published "Global 2000" predicting that all the forests would be gone, all the fertile lands would be deserts, and nearly two million species would have vanished.

Its easy to make such predictions. Its criminal to do so for the sole purpose of scaring people to give up their freedom, their nations sovereignty, and their ability to solve current and future problems in favor of the Green/Red takeover of their lives.

The Political Race Card

Of the thirteen Representatives in Congress who rose to object to the counting of Electoral College votes that confirmed George W. Bush as our next President, eleven were Black.

The objections being raised against the selection of John Ashcroft as Bushs choice for Attorney General are based on the false and dastardly assertion he is a racist. Such views were put forth on the January 7th "Meet the Press" show by Democrats, Sen. Biden (D-DEL) and Sen. Kerry (D-MA).

The most visible and vocal representatives outside of Congress are Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the leadership of the NAACP. Indeed, the most vicious and fraudulent political advertisement during the campaign was a NAACP commercial linking Bush to the murder in Texas of a Black man. Nine out of every ten votes cast by Blacks went to the Democrats.

This is not something that can be ignored. The great civil rights struggles of the 1960s were about bringing the Black community into the mainstream of American life.

The politics of the Black community in 2001 is fixated on a Civil War fought in the mid-1800s. That is why flags in three states that reflect the former Stars and Bars of the Confederacy are being challenged. Despite the way the Civil War is taught in our schools, it wasnt just about slavery. It was far more about the concept of States rights. Check the Tenth Amendment; it too is about States rights.

I do not mean to suggest that these people, elected or self-appointed speak for all Blacks. There are clearly a growing number of Blacks who share conservative values, but the problem is that there are not enough. The Black community is being used by the Democratic Party to attack the incoming Bush administration. Ironically, its the same party that opposed civil rights legislation until it could do so no longer.

Blacks in America have made remarkable strides in living standards and social conditions. Black incomes, poverty rates, educational status, health, home ownership, and wealth have all shown gains. Contrary to popular belief, Black incomes surged in the last century, particularly from the 1950s onward. Today, an estimated third of Blacks are in white-collar jobs as opposed to a mere five percent in the 1940s. Today, nearly one-half of all Black families are homeowners. The poverty rate in the 1940s was about eighty percent. Today it is about twenty-five percent

The great irony of this, of course, are two choices by president-elect Bush; Colin Powell to be our first Black Secretary of State and Condi Rice to be our National Security advisor to the president. If this does not signal opportunity and equality to the Blacks in Congress and the cities of America, what can or will? It is disquieting to hear these two outstanding Americans dismissed by the most vocal members of the Black community.

If this is the political trend, then Blacks are going to be ever more marginalized in a nation in which immigration is transforming our population. The American population grew by more than 13 percent in just the past decade. There are now more than 281 million Americans. Immigration and the high birth rates among recent immigrants are responsible for nearly all the growth.

The Race Card is not going to work in a nation whose new population has no connection whatever to the Civil War, nor the Jim Crow laws that impacted Blacks for a century thereafter. This new population has come here for the opportunities that life in America offers.

The unique history of America has been that immigration has proved to be a good policy, bringing in new blood to work the economic engine of the nation. The days of the great immigrations from Russia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and other European nations are over. The Civil War is now history.

The complaints of the Black community as voiced by their elected leaders in Congress and their so-called spokespersons outside of Congress will backfire.

None of this bodes well for the Black community in America, nor for the nation as a whole. It is the politics of opposition, apartheid and victimization, not integration, participation, and opportunity.
