According to a recent article in Salon.com, the Reagans had to
pay $1 million in taxes after an investigation about the stuff they
took with them when they left the White House. (ever hear of it? I
don't seem to recall reading about it.)
And the damage done to the White House was not more than
could be expected when a 400 person staff leaves a facility wherein
they have been ensconced for 8 years.
Bill Clinton was just such jolly fun to go after that the Republicans
just don't want to stop.
