The substance is floating on water near the Upper Harbour Bridge, and the Council says the liquid appears to have come off the land. Pollution Control Officer, Sarah Yarrow says workers are trying to block the substance, so that it doesn't flow under the bridge into the harbour. She says a sucker truck will be brought in to have the stuff removed, at which time it will be analysed and traced. Sarah Yarrow says the bright green liquid doesn't have any immediate acidic effects, and doesn't have any odour.
