Ashcroft has used the powers of public office to further an ideological agenda and ignored what during the hearings he has called "settled law" in order to do it. Furthermore, he has 'misrepresented' facts while under oath during the hearings. Golly gee, that's perjury. Good thing the right wing doesn't have a double standard by which to judge such things.
