World Net Daily Spreads Government Disinformation
    by URI DOWBENKO
According to media analyst Joel Skousen, the pseudo-conservative "news"
website World Net Daily has spread government disinformation regarding the
infamous Oklahoma City Bombing Coverup.

In his World Affairs Brief, Skousen writes that "WorldNetDaily.com broadcast
what they considered a major breakthrough in the OKC bombing investigation. A
local Oklahoma City reporter for an NBC affiliate claimed to have found
'massive evidence of a foreign conspiracy involving Saudi terrorist leader
Osama bin Laden in the 1995 bombing of the federal building that killed 168
people.'

The problem is that the World Net Daily story was government disinformation,
fulfilling the media mandate to muddy the waters in this egregious government
conspiracy and coverup.

Spreading a false story like the phony World Net Daily report on Osama Bin
Laden is called "limited hangout" in intelligence circles.

Framed in military terms, this technique is called "information warfare," and
its purpose is to confuse public perception about certain events.

Skousen writes that "Jayna Davis, formerly of KFOR-TV in OKC, claims the FBI
wasn’t interested in her information. That’s probably the only conclusion
she reaches about government involvement that is true. As in most cases of
people knowingly or unknowingly fronting for the government, Davis is in
possession of more secret information than anyone in the private sector can
get hold of on their own.

"She has clearly been given evidence by someone in government intelligence,"
Skousen concludes.

"An ex-reporter wouldn’t know that "a Middle East terrorist cell was in
operation only blocks from the federal building, and ... an Iraqi national
who formerly served in Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard was in contact with
McVeigh the day of the bombing" without government feeding her the info. It’s
most likely false.

"Conspicuously absent from her story is any attempt to explain the multiple
efforts of the federal government to cover up any involvement of these same
anonymous conspirators who have been talked about since the beginning.

Osama Bin Laden, who has been blamed for every act of real and imagined
terrorism since the sinking of the Lusitania, remains the CIA's Number One
Scapegoat and Official Boogeyman/Terrorist.

This "legend" (false story concocted by an intelligence agency)serves two
purposes: 1/ to hide domestic criminal government activity under a supposed
"foreign terrorist threat" and 2/ to promote the Big Lie that the US is
threat by terrorists, so that more draconian legislation can be rammed
through, like The Anti-Terrorist Act.

Skousen writes that "that there were multiple charges inside the building
coordinated to go off with the truck bomb. A government bomb squad made a
visit to the Murrah building in morning of the explosion. Local seismic
readings showed two distinct explosions, and local seismologists were told to
keep this a secret."

"Why? All of these things help explain why the government decided to destroy
the building so soon afterward--to make sure the forensic evidence was gone
forever."

"This story, in my opinion," continues Skousen, "is another government
attempt to explain away the "other Middle Eastern people" witnesses saw
working in collaboration with McVeigh--the very same "John Doe" people the
federal government refused to pursue in their investigation. Even the local
OKC Grand Jury was not allowed by prosecutors to pursue anyone else but
McVeigh."

"The 'other people' were almost certainly agent provocateurs hired by dark
side operators within our own government to encourage McVeigh and Nichols,
and supply them with bomb making materials and know-how. What better way to
turn American patriots into perceive enemies of the nation? Osama Bin Laden
is being used all too frequently nowadays as the scapegoat of choice. I’m not
buying his role in this crime."

Online readers eagerly await Joseph Farah's and World Net Daily's apology for
this patently bogus story.

A word of caution: Don't hold your breath...
