Tim McVeigh is the Lee Harvey Oswald of the

a trial would have revealed that he was only a cog

Nakano comments:
In fact, Tim McVeigh has said this himself.
He said: "I might be a Lee Harvey Oswald."
Here are some details.

Lee Harvey Oswald yelled to reporters in the
Dallas County Jail:
"I'm a patsy"
Then Oswald was conveniently shot and killed
while in police custody.

Tim McVeigh obviously thought he was in the
same sort of situation when Federal Officers
came to the Noble County Oklahoma Jail to
take him to Oklahoma City.

"A fellow jail inmate asked Tim McVeigh:
If you didn't do anything, you shouldn't be scared,".

McVeigh replied:
"But I might be a Lee Harvey Oswald."

This quote and some more interesting information
come from a CNN News story at:

Here's some more:
About McVeigh's "robotic type of behavior":

"The room was crowded, and Cook squeezed into a
corner. The sheriff's top priority was that no one,
McVeigh included, be hurt, and that was a chief
concern because, he said later, "there were rumors
going around that we had snipers." He strained to look
at McVeigh and was amazed that the young man was able
to obscure his image, to deny his inquisitors any show
of concern about what was happening here. It was the
same blankness that had struck District Attorney
Gibson when he noticed the emptiness of McVeigh's
face, the totally unresponsive look in his eyes, the
absence of any human emotion. "I was looking and I
didn't see any," Cook recalled".

"Mark Gibson, the Noble County district attorney could
not help but study the man standing next to him. He's
one cool customer, Gibson thought. I've never seen
anyone so unreactive. So military-like. He's a void.
Not macho; not tough-guy. Just no reaction at all."
