I suppose that he will pull out the commerce clause as justification for
all of these environmental laws. What about about the 13th amendment? I
say all of these mandatory edicts effectively makes all of us slaves! And
how
about all of the commerce that these environmental laws prohibit? Maybe
somebody could suggest attacking these these laws with the anti-trust
laws.
Environmental laws certainly increase prices, restrain trade in the
resources they lock up (well after all that is the main purpose!) Are
certainly freindly to OPEC by shutting down competition to OPEC's oil and
deliberately making us more dependent on their oil.And to mention the
constitutionality of all these national parks, wildlife refugees,
monuments etc. I can only find one reason why the federal government is
allowed to own land outside of the district of Columbia and that is for
national defense only after the state legislature cedes land to the
feseral government! (article 1 section 8) Article 1 section 10 authorizes
interstate compacts. Again, I expect some outlandishly contorted reason
why the commerce clause authorizes all of this tyranny at the hands of the
federal government.

if you knew how the constitution was written, you wouldnt
be asking that question.
CERTAIN POWERS we delegated to the federal govt by
the states, those that were not delegated, were reserved to the states
or to the people themselves, so before a law can be passed, it needs
to stand up to constitutional muster, if it doesnt, then it is not supposed
to become federal law, and if it does become federal law illegally,
then thats why we have a Supreme Court, which has on many occasions,
has found many laws passed by our so called reporesentatives in D.C.
to be unconstitutional.
That may be what William was trying to say.
