While the original nuclear bombs used at Hiroshima and Nagasaki were
round and could be described as laid eggs, the 'bird' that laid them
definitely was a phallic symbol...and our modern nuclear arsenal
is basically just a big 'bullet', a nuclear payload delivered via a
longer-than-its-wide missile....
Hence, 'the bomb' now also qualifies as a phallic symbol... ;-)
