The mud puppy is a giant salamander. They're interesting, but they're native
to this country. The walking catfish is an import if I'm remembering
correctly. I saw a mud puppy in our lake when I was a child. I thought it
was a gigantic tadpole. I tried to catch it, but of course it was gone in a
second. Then the adults wouldn't believe me. It was years before I knew
