Wonder who the person was who owned the Mercedes Benz - anyone else would have been cited on the spot. A case I cannot forget is the poor guy who evidently ran a red light or got caught running yello - he was hit, the air bag went off, and his son, his little 4 year old as I recall in front in car seat, was decapitated. Now this guy was charged with murder or manslaughter on the spot - when not a discouraging word was directed to the guy who made the cr or the air bags? Just curious here especially after the treatment the guy got "impersonating" an officer....by the way they said they thought nobody was hurt in the one house where there was a baby and mother and the home was riddled with bullets - wonder if they ever checked it out? Saba Car kills woman and child on sidewalk NBC4.TV LAGUNA HILLS, September 2� A Mercedes-Benz jumped a curb and rammed into three pedestrians, killing a woman and a 2-year-old girl who were dragged along the sidewalk, authorities said. The woman and the toddler were pronounced dead at the scene following the accident 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Another woman was in stable condition early Sunday at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, said Lt. Colin Murphy with the Orange County Sheriff's Department. The identities of the victims were not immediately released. (Oh I love this comment below - Saba) The driver was not injured. She was not arrested and it was not immediately known if she would face any charges, authorities said. Accident investigators had not released a report on the crash by early morning, Murphy said. The women and the child were walking along Hon Avenue near Alicia Parkway when "for some unknown reason" a woman drove the Mercedes E320 onto the sidewalk and struck them, said Steve Doan, a spokesman with the Orange County Sheriff's Department. It did not appear that alcohol or drugs were involved, Doan said. Witnesses told authorities the victims were dragged some 60 feet before the silver Mercedes came to a stop.
