Who said torture is a recent problem? Of course the US supports torture around the world, both in Israel and Arab countries. When the US supports state torture or state terror in half the world, why does it surprise us when others hate us enough to kill our civilians? The reason some are "talking about it all of a sudden" is because on Sept 11, 2001. Many ask "why were we attacked?"
