"in god we trust" did not appear until after the civil war, and it DOES NOT belong on the coins of a country that prides itself on separation of church and state. This country was found by deists , not Christians - and deists who did not trust in religious organizations, I might add. All Americans are immigrants, or descendents of immigrants. It is SHAMEFUL, that we do not, as a people , embrace being multi-lingual as individuals. It makes us a joke across the rest of the world - and I dont just mean Europe by that. Intolerance is not an American value.
