GATA Chairman Bill Murphy was interviewed live for
about five minutes Saturday morning by the Australian
Broadcasting Co. for a nationwide radio broadcast. It
was probably our greatest publicity success in
Australia so far. Here are some e-mail responses:
"Bill, I was surprised to hear your interview on ABC Radio
this morning while I was driving. First time I have heard
your name and GATA mentioned on the radio here in Australia.
You made your point on the short interview and it was good."
And: "Congratulations on a fantastic interview on ABC,
Australia's national news radio. You sounded clear, precise,
and confident. I had contacted the folks at ABC News Radio
in April and gave them your name and contact details, but
wrote them off when nothing came of it. Just goes to show
that nothing is lost in this effort. Good on you. Go, GATA!
Go, gold!"

case on gold price fixing. The interview lasted about 4 to
5 minutes. It ended with the interviewer saying, 'No doubt
