Perhaps we need to install metal detectors at all voting polls in the future. Or, maybe the easy way would be to outlaw pastors. Bill A pastor whose church was being used as a polling place was stabbed by a man who walked into the sancturary Tuesday after wounding a person on the street outside, authorities said. Police Sgt. Gary Crawford said the man walked into the Family Praise Fellowship Assembly of God about 4.30pm. "The man, for unknown reasons, appeared to be disgruntled about something and stabbed the 61 year old pastor.", Crawford said. Rev. Derrill Sturgeon was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where officials said he was undergoing surgery late Monday(sic) and his condition was not immediately available. He was stabbed three times in the chest. The other victim was stabbed once in the upper body. Crawford said the alleged assailant, identified as Danny Lopez, 30, of Riverside, was arrested and a folding knife with a 4 inch blade recovered.
