US CEASES OPERATION ANACONDA AND INITIATES NEGOTIATIONS TO FREE 18 CAPTURED US SOLDIERS Special Report(Daily Ummat): Reliable sources have disclosed that the US has offered to negotiate with the Mujahideen and make some deal in exchange for the freedom of 18 US soldiers, captured by the Mujahideen. These arrested US soldiers include at least two senior high ranking officers. It is believed that Operation Anaconda has been stopped because of American concern as to the fate of these 18 prisoners.
