A Russian paper on U_S_ psychotronic weapons - The following paper was
translated by the CIA's Foreign Broadcast Information Service....Title:
Psychotronic Weapons: Myth or Reality?....Article by Lt Col V.
Pavlychev....In July 1992, the program "Now It Can Be Told" was shown over
channels of the American television company NBC. It was devoted to problems
of studying the possibilities of using individuals possessing a powerful
bio-field for military purposes. It was noted that about $1 million is being
spent annually on this work being accomplished by the U.S. Defense
Intelligence Agency. People with extrasensory perception were used to detect
enemy troop and armament concentration areas and also to search for hostages.

Krishnas faced with making amends - Even Hare Krishna officials admit to
child abuse in the sect's boarding schools. By Tina Susman NEWSDAY
3/10/02....Thirty-six years after the religious group's first U.S. temple
opened in lower Manhattan, Gedeon and 90 other former Krishna children are
suing the organization for what they say were years of physical and mental
abuse in the schools known as gurukulas. The suit, filed in October in Texas
state court, seeks $400 million in damages from the International Society for
Krishna Consciousness, or Iskcon, as the movement is known. Iskcon officials
do not deny that abuse occurred, though they dispute its extent. This is
hardly the first time a religious group has been accused of abuse. Dozens of
sex-abuse suits are pending in the country's Roman Catholic dioceses. Texas
lawyer Windle Turley, whose firm represents the Iskcon plaintiffs, won a
multimillion-dollar lawsuit in 1998 against the Dallas Catholic Diocese for
hiding sexual abuse by a priest. And the Jehovah's Witnesses are the subject
of at least two suits by adults who say elders did nothing about reports of
abuse in the order. http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/local/2830831.htm

An ID idea: Microchips under your skin - by Shannon Tan [EMAIL PROTECTED] The
Miami Herald 03-10-02 "....The solution to such emergencies, says Palm
Beach-based Applied Digital Solutions, is the VeriChip. The $200 microchip
can be encoded with information such as a person's name and Social Security
number and a list of medical allergies, then injected under the skin.
Emergency room workers would then use scanners to read the
chip....MicroCHIPS, in Cambridge, Mass., makes products that deliver medicine
to the body; AVID, in Norco, Calif., tracks pets implanted with its
microchips; and Trovan, in Santa Barbara, Calif., has implantable
transponders in more than 300 zoos worldwide."

Cruel, unusual punishment toward children - Bob Greene - 3/10/02 may be very
heavy for survivors "The United States Constitution — in the 8th Amendment
to the Bill of Rights — guarantees this to all Americans: "Excessive bail
shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual
punishments inflicted." Nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. Adults
in this country can live confident that no governmental body or court will
inflict such punishments upon them. But children — who count on the adults in
the homes where they live to care for them and protect them."

Can't Scan Without a Warrant - By Declan McCullagh - 6/12/01 "Washington --
If the feds want to spy on your home using whizzy tech gadgets, they'd better
get a warrant first, the Supreme Court said on Monday. In an important 5-4
ruling that extends privacy's shield to radiation not visible to the human
eye, the court said federal agents should have obtained a warrant before
using an infrared imaging device to snoop on Danny Lee Kyllo, an Oregon man
they later arrested for growing marijuana."

US Special Forces in Iraq? DEBKA 28 Feb 2002
DEBKA-net-weekly: US Special Forces already in Iraq! There are some real
"scoops" in the latest intelligence report from Debka, which we received late
last night, and which will be posted on our website by noon today. Debka's
military sources are indicating that US Special Forces have already crossed
into Iraq. Here's a lengthy excerpt from this week's issue: "America, taking
a leaf out of its own game plan for the Afghan War, has sent its advance
units into Iraq - softly. Very quietly, a small vanguard of US Special Forces
crossed from Turkey into north Iraq on Friday, February 15. On January 4,
DEBKA-Net-Weekly (in Issue No. 43) predicted the US military offensive
against Iraq would begin in February. On February 20, Japan's fifth largest
newspaper, Sankei Shimbun was the only other media outlet to pick up the
long-awaited deployment. Five months ago, DEBKA-Net-Weekly and DEBKAfile
broke the news of the first US Special Forces landing in Afghanistan on
September 17, six days after terrorists struck New York and Washington and
three weeks ahead of the main force. Now, a knot of commandos is again
blazing the trail for the bulk of the US assault force to go in three or four
weeks hence. DEBKA-Net-Weekly's military experts therefore expect the main US
thrust against Iraq in the second half of March or early April, barring
unforeseen circumstances - much sooner than most other experts and media
pundits suggest. Our experts add that the Special Forces vanguard has been
directed not to recruit Kurdish or other local opposition forces, but to make
its way unaided into central Iraq. There, the commandos are to mark out and,
in some cases, sabotage military and strategic targets, so as to cripple
vital utilities in advance of the main offensive.

Please note that I may not necessarily agree with this article. It is being
presented to give a balanced view.

http://www.azzam.com Daily news, articles and interviews on the Jihad in
Afghanistan KANDAHAR(Special Report) : .... There have been well-documented
attacks, leading to confirmed American deaths in the areas of Kandahar,
Girdeez, Khost and Logar. In fact, the Americans are being attacked all over
Afghanistan by small Mujahideen guerrilla units. It's almost as if killing
American soldiers is becoming a daily routine in Afghanistan, reminding the
Muslims of the first Afghan-Soviet war, where the Russians faced a similar
fate.

Regardless of how one may wish to put it, the truth is that several US
helicopters have been shot down and scores of their troops have been killed
over the past few days. The US Military seems to have put up a bit of a
panicked response to these losses and it seems they have stopped trusting
their so-called Afghan allied fighters. The Mujahid Commander Mulla Saifur
Rahman Mansoor confirmed that scores of US soldiers were killed and many more
US Afghan allied fighters also perished within the first few days of
Operation Anaconda.

How will President George W. Bush personally make millions (if not billions)
from the War on Terror? The old fashioned way. He'll inherit it.
Meet the Carlyle Group Former World Leaders and Washington Insiders Making
Billions in the War on Terrorism

Featured Article The ex-presidents' club Oliver Burkeman and Julian Borger
Wednesday October 31, 2001 The Guardian
It is hard to imagine an address closer to the heart of American power. The
offices of the Carlyle Group are on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC,
midway between the White House and the Capitol building, and within a stone's
throw of the headquarters of the FBI and numerous government departments.
The address reflects Carlyle's position at the very center of the Washington
establishment, but amid the frenetic politicking that has occupied the higher
reaches of that world in recent weeks, few have paid it much attention.
Elsewhere, few have even heard of it.

This is exactly the way Carlyle likes it. For 14 years now, with almost no
publicity, the company has been signing up an impressive list of former
politicians - including the first President Bush and his secretary of state,
James Baker; John Major; one-time World Bank treasurer Afsaneh Masheyekhi and
several south-east Asian powerbrokers - and using their contacts and
influence to promote the group. Among the companies Carlyle owns are those
which make equipment, vehicles and munitions for the US military, and its
celebrity employees have long served an ingenious dual purpose, helping
encourage investments from the very wealthy while also smoothing the path for
Carlyle's defense firms. But since the start of the "war on terrorism", the
firm - unofficially valued at $13.5bn - has taken on an added significance.
Carlyle has become the thread which indirectly links American military policy
in Afghanistan to the personal financial fortunes of its celebrity employees,
not least the current president's father.

By Peter Symonds 11 March 2002.... A number of reports from Gardez point to a
different story, however. An article in the Los Angeles Times, for instance,
explained that those fighting American troops were being led by Saifur Rahman
Mansour, who "to many [was] a home-grown hero," rather than a close associate
of Osama bin Laden. Thought to be about 40, Rahman is the son of a former
Paktia governor and fought with US-backed Mujaheddin groups against the
Soviet installed regime in Kabul in the 1980s.

Like many of local militia commanders among the Pashtun tribes in the south
and east of Afghanistan, Rahman threw in his lot with the Taliban. The
Islamic extremist movement expanded rapidly in the mid-1990s not primarily by
defeating opposing militia units but either by buying them off or winning
support for their vision of an Islamic state as the alternative to the
existing chaos. Once the US compelled Pakistan to end its support for the
Taliban, effectively choking off funds and arms, the patchwork of alliances
with Pashtun tribal leaders and militia commanders swiftly disintegrated.

Afghan officials in Gardez, whose current allegiances lie with the US and its
puppet administration in Kabul, all know Rahman. Some fought alongside him
during the 1980s as part of the anti-Soviet Mujaheddin which sheltered in
cave complexes in the Shahi Kot Valley where the fighting presently is taking
place. They pay tribute to his tenacity as a fighter and question the purpose
of the US-led Operation Anaconda. As Abdul Mutin, commander of a US-allied
militia, admitted: "There are some people who say: ‘Saifur Rahman is a nice
person. Why must we fight him.'"
