Moon, and some of his teachings. The serious Christian, as well as the secular citizen, must ask the following pertinent questions -- the alternative being hiding ones head in the sand, or pretending to see the Emperor's clothing... 1. Are these Moon and Central Intelligence associations of leading evangelicals really that important? 2. Should one be concerned about the large exchanges of money between these men and organizations affiliated with Moon? 3. What exactly is being "bought" with this money? 4. Is the Unification Church just another 'denomination', or is it something much more sinister, perhaps building to the fulfillment of the well understood prophecies of Scripture which say the Church will fall away (from the faith) in the last days? Certainly every sincere Christian should be concerned over every one of the above issues. From the Christian point of view, the integrity of the faith is at stake, as well as the eternal destiny of untold millions. As Christians, those who claim to hold to the faith are commanded to sound the trumpet of alarm at the first sign of danger. The truth though, is that the trumpet is sounding very late in the assault and many are being caught off guard. Those who believe we are living in the 'last days' must be aware that it is promised in scripture that in the end-times MANY will depart from the faith and follow false doctrines that are very seductive and deceptive (2 Timothy 4:3-4), even in the name of Christ, even by those claiming to be "of Christ." Jesus himself gave these express warnings. Since it is firmly established that Christianity's leading evangelicals are embracing the Rev. Moon (under the leadership of Jerry Falwell, Tim LaHaye, Paul Crouch and many more) in the pursuit of worldly, political power and influence, we will look at the doctrines of the Unification Church in regards to its beliefs concerning Jesus and His role as the Messiah, where it appears unparalleled compromise has taken place. Much more could be added, but for the sake of brevity we have limited the examples; The excerpts from Moon's material will be in quotes. Michael Jenkins, President, Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, USA Excerpt: "Unification teaching affirms that Rev. Moon has received the anointing of Jesus and stands in a messianic role as "True Parent." Unification teachings also affirm that the "anointing" or messianic role is conveyed to other pastors and leaders who, if called by God, take up the cross and follow Jesus." Here we are first told that Moon received the anointing of Jesus. In Moon's bio (located at the above site) we find that he claims Jesus appeared to him, explaining sadly of His failure, and anointing Moon as the true Messiah. Also note that the teachings place everyone on the level of Christ, if they espouse Moon's doctrine. Seminars in the Spirit World with the Four Religious Founders February 3- April 11, 2001 Dr. Sang Hun Lee, Presiding Reporter: Young Soon Kim "Father Moon's position on Jesus as Lord and Savior is founded upon his personal faith in and experience with Jesus. Yet he tells us that it was Jesus who guided him to have an open heart for all the religions of the world! As we seek to unify the Body of Christ and bring unity among all faiths, we pray that you may be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that we, as the Christian family, will have such love as to fulfill Jesus prayer in John 17 - "That ALL may be one." That we might be like Jesus and manifest such love as to bring unity and understanding to all the religions of the world. With this thought in mind, please consider the following revelations." Notice we are being led to believe that all religions are the 'body of Christ', and should be embraced as such. The Moon agenda is that "all may be one". This is an affront to every religion, and especially to the blood of Jesus who bought the Church -- that "Church" being clearly defined in scripture as those who have entered into faith in the sacrifice and irrevocable, eternal Lordship of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins. "I am deeply touched by the warm love of Jesus, the compassion of Buddha, the proper etiquette of Confucius, the absolute faith of Mohammed, the intelligence of Socrates, and Saint Augustine's passion and ambition for God. I am indeed inspired by their pledge and determination to live in the attendance of God as their Parent, offering to him all of their thoughts and truths. As I received and recorded the messages from these great religious founders in the spirit world, I wished that earthly people could resemble them in their unity of heart and mind, in their humble acceptance of the truths from other religions, and in their love for one another transcending religions and denominations." Young Soon Kim April 11, 2001 Young Soon Kim is a unification church leader, and promotes communication with the dead, as do Moon and all his devoted followers. Moon's doctrine also teaches that departed souls can take over a living body and live through that host, thus carrying on with their teachings. This is certainly against all Christian doctrine, and is portrayed in scripture as evil, even forbidden. It is actually the same as the Christian doctrine of demon possession. "As I was leading this gathering, I experienced something infinitely painful in my heart, and thought: "If only earthly people could witness these scenes (his visions) and experience them, then God and True Parents could restore this world much more quickly." It is Moon's stated mission as well that he is the one who will restore the earth, and restore all men to God. "Each of these religious founders had experiences so moving, they rapidly progressed and clearly understood God's current providential purposes. And whenever they had time, they visited friends from other religions. Such scenes were so beautiful. Their reflections were similar to each other: "I think that I can understand the heart of Reverend Sun Myung Moon, who is toiling so hard on Earth for the sake of world peace." " Prophecy foretells the day when men will proclaim 'peace' - and that the world, for a very short time, will even be at peace. The prophecies also inform us that this is a false peace -- an illusion. Today many in the world, Moon and a multitude of major evangelicals, are currently working toward this peace, and it appears most of the world will embrace it, be it willingly or through the deceits and manipulations of the deceiver(s) whom Christ forewarned would come. "Then if any man says to you, "Come, Christ is here", or "He is over there;" do not believe them. For there will arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall demonstrate great signs and power; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the very elect of God. Remember, I have warned you in advance! Therefore, if they shall say to you, "Look, He is in the desert"; do not go to see: or, "Look, He is in secret places;" Do not believe them. For as the lightning shines out of the east and flashes even to the west, likewise will be the Coming of the Son of Man." - Matthew 24:23-27. "Now, the four religious founders, (He is speaking here of Confucius, Buddha, Mohammed, and Jesus) along with Socrates and St. Augustine who also attended the seminars, (supposedly in heaven) are pursuing the same direction; it is the direction of the providence of God and True Parents. They try not to show their own distinctive characteristics and are making shared efforts to be united in one direction. And they are earnestly praying that the direction of earthly people will also be one." The message here is quite clear. Namely, that Jesus, Confucius, Buddha and Mohammed are themselves working toward the unification of all religions. Would this unification also embrace Satanism? Dr. Sang Hun Lee from the spirit world material: "...God has been suffering as if He were a sinner until now, although He is not, and He has not been able to manifest Himself to His full capacity although He is the Creator of all things. Likewise, although He is the King of light, He has been enduring in darkness, unable to illuminate the whole world in His light. Until the arrival of the day of liberation, He could not experience peace in His heart nor could he fully manifest His light." Notice what a weak God is portrayed here... his creation limits his power so that he is unable to do anything. He is unable even to experience peace, and unable to shed his light. He is portrayed as a weak and captive God. This is certainly not the Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who raises up and tears down kingdoms at His will; the God that parted the Red Sea and raised Jesus of Nazareth from the dead. "The day of God's emancipation arrived only when He could be crowned as the King of Kings, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, with the fall of Lucifer. Now, Lucifer is returned to his original position and God is also crowned as the King. That took place on January 13, 2001." Here the Unification Church teaches that God was captive and HAD TO BE EMANCIPATED! Also they claim that Lucifer was returned to his original position, meaning that he is reconciled to God, sitting in heaven guarding the throne, and that he is no longer "the Adversary" as his name implies. They go on to say that man's unification will rid the world of evil. This certainly sets us up for the receiving of the Antichrist and the false prophet. Anyone familiar with Scripture knows that the last time mankind achieved "unification," God destroyed the endeavor knowing it was evil (Genesis 11). "..Now, all human beings truly have entered a new era and received the precious master." Regardless to who they are referring to as precious master, whether Moon or a homogenized god, this statement is certainly ridiculous and untrue considering the violent and lust filled, covetous day in which we live. "..A new era refers to the time God can enter a realm of total liberation. On the other hand, to human beings, it is an incomparably precious gift. And the new era is a time we can live with God in joy and happiness, attending Him as the True Parent of all humanity. It is the time when the original world that He intended to create will begin. Thus, for human beings, what day could be more joyful than this day? January 13, 2001 was the day when, representing all humankind, the Messiah attended God as the True Parent of entire humankind." The "Messiah" referred to here is Rev Moon. The god referred to here must certainly be a false and Luciferian god as he is ruling presently the affairs of men on all levels and in every area of society. Moon also refers to his wife and himself as the "true parents of all humanity", thereby making himself god, when referring to god as the true parent. This is what Antichrist will do as we are foretold in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5, and several other passages of scripture. "... Unless we are cleansed of the original sin, human beings from the moment of conception are not in their original state. In order for us to be cleansed of the original sin, we should be reborn. The method of rebirth is to receive the marriage Blessing with the Reverend Moon as the officiator. That is the best way to be cleansed of the original sin. This cleansing remains to be done for all humankind. Only after having gone through this cleansing can we personally stand before God and grow as original human beings." Christians hold to Christ's blood as being the agent of cleansing from all sin. He is our covering and our offering, the "pascal" (Passover) lamb of sacrifice for sins. For two decades Moon has performed mass marriages and many religious ministers from all faiths have submitted to these marriages. The Rev. Moon picks who is mated with whom. Here we see the claim that it is Moon who cleanses us from all sin through a marriage approved, performed and blessed by him personally. This is a physical salvation that is false and blasphemous to every thing that is truly Christian. "...We cannot directly go to God or stand before Him until we cleanse our first ancestors' fundamental sin. But we of our own power cannot set the conditions necessary to resolve our ancestors' fundamental sin. A central figure anointed by God must appear and cleanse the fundamental sin committed by our first ancestors. That particular central figure is the one chosen by God, the one whose blood lineage was purified through generations of human ancestors. That figure should set numerous indemnity conditions for the sake of returning us to the original condition from which our first human ancestors deviated. By setting indemnity conditions, he can stand before God in the position of Adam prior to the fall. From that position, he should bring us back into God's lineage, saving us from the sins of all humanity. On that foundation, he can build God's nation, crown God as the King, and lead us to God so that we all can live with God, together attending Him for eternity. Through his officiating at the Blessing of God, humanity comes to stand on the side of God's eternal lineage. That Blessing is the ultimate salvation for humankind. Our ancestors' wrongdoing degraded us to a fallen position. Returning to God's lineage saves us. Then, who is the specific figure anointed by God to bring us into the position of salvation? It is Reverend Sun Myung Moon. He is the Messiah for all humanity, the Second Coming of Christ." There certainly can be no mistake that Moon is setting himself up to be The Christ. Neither can there be a mistake as to whom these evangelical leaders are with whom Moon has some influence. Can Tim LaHaye, Paul Crouch, Jerry Falwell and so many others sit on Moon's front groups and organizations for years on end, and put Moon's men in the high levels of their organizations and coalitions and still claim ignorance to what and whom they are supporting? Can Falwell, Schuller, Beverly LaHaye, Gary Bauer, and so many thousands of other ministers claim ignorance as to whom they are supporting when this information is blazoned on Moon's own site. As shown in parts 1-3 of this series, In 1996, when so many of these ministers were paid between $80,000-150,000 to speak at just one of his rallies, none of them tried to back out, and they gave great credibility to Moon before thousands. Only Bill Cosby - not affiliated with any religious organization but hired as 'entertainment' for the event - was offended enough to try to back out, and Ralph Reed (see bio in side bar above) gave his money to charity. "...We were first shocked by the notion that providentially, someone must come who can save humankind. We just maintained a heavy silence while holding the serious yet unspoken question as to who that person could be. Jesus first broke the silence and spoke quietly but seriously, "That person is none other than the Reverend Sun Myung Moon. He should be the Messiah and Savior of all humanity." Here it is claimed that Jesus Himself sadly claimed that the Rev. Moon was the only one able to save mankind. This is the man whom our Christian leaders, including Paul Crouch, Pat Robertson, Tim LaHaye and so many more have embraced, or otherwise entangled themselves with for the purpose of political power. "....Reverend Moon walked a path of unbelievable indemnity, going beyond the cross to become victorious as God's anointed." Now it is claimed Moon went beyond the sacrifice of Jesus to become the anointed, which is the literal meaning of Messiah. "...Jesus is the Messiah who was sent by God. Due to human ignorance, his people did not receive him even in his own hometown. Rejected, he was unable to exercise his complete power as the Messiah. Reverend Sun Myung Moon is one anointed to fulfill the mission that Jesus was unable to complete." How sad that "Christian" evangelical leaders would embrace this man. This truly is a travesty, and the epitome of apostasy, the departure from the faith. The leaders have betrayed the flock, proving that they are not true shepherds, but rather nothing more than "hired men", who sell out to what they perceive as the highest bidder.
