This did not suit Sharon! Sharon surrounded Arfat to protect him while the Israeli army attempts to stamp-out as many radicals as possible. Arafat kindly eggs on the radicals by encouraging them to fight to the last and never surrender! Arafat says HE is a martyr though completely safe surrounded by Israeli soldiers! He encourages more martydom from Palestinians as the Israeli army invades, upping the the kill rate of the Israelis! After the smoke clears, Sharon hopes to put Arafat back in power with Arafat's reputation for Palestinian "patroitism" still intact! What a cunning charade!
