-Caveat Lector- It is now an established fact that Volkert van den Graaf who assassinated the Dutch nationalist opposition leader Pim Fortuyn last week was sent from the future. A statement in this direction was made by Jan Peter Balkenende, leader of the Christian Democratic Party of the Netherlands, in a radio interview with the Omroep Brabant station on Wednesday. One is immediately led to observe the striking similarities to other such events, such as the assassination of Kennedy in 1963 and the removal from power of Khrushchev in 1964 by agents from the future, who acted to prevent the fourth world war which would otherwise have commenced in 1966. Van den Graaf, who is believed to have been a militant animal rights activist, apparently acted on behalf of either the left- or the right-hand dog of Pim Fortuyn, as evident from the Fortuyn imagery on the election party, where Fortuyn was generally portrayed with his two spaniels. It is now expected that the left and right dog factions will emerge into a violent supremacy struggle that will shake the political culture in the Netherlands.
