The Hitler Threat

Americans love the Hitler system. That must be the case, because we are presently
installing it, even more thoroughly than he did. Many of us were raised with the idea
that the United States hated Nazis even more than the Klan. After all, didn't we fight
a bloody war to defeat them? We've learned since that we fought Nazi Germany for so
many years, not because we hated the Nazi system, but because we loved it so much we
wanted a monopoly.
Almost every day, someone in the Prostitute National Press laments the approach of a
so-called "Nazi threat." How would you identify such a threat? Couldn't you do so only
by recalling what Hitler did in Germany to impose Nazism? What Hitler did there, is
the Nazi threat here. So, what did he do? What are we doing here?
The Nazi dictatorship did not begin with atrocities against Jews. In Germany, the
Holocaust was the last step in a process that began before Hitler, during the Weimar
Republic. The economy was collapsing. At the Versailles Conference after World War I,
the Allies broke their word and saddled Germany with a ruinous war debt. The German
central bank drove the currency into worthlessness by printing paper marks around the
clock. The economy was collapsing. German doctors, world-renowned for science and
humanity, resolved to do their part to save the nation by eliminating "useless
eaters," people they said were defective.
Hitler and his Nazis inherited their scheme, and, typically mealy-mouthed, called it
the "final solution." Ironically, in the beginning, the allegedly "humane" elimination
of German "defectives" was considered "too good" for Jews, because the Jews were
"untermenschen" ("subhuman"). The Jews were admitted to the "final solution" only at
the very end.
Yes, we know all that, but surely we couldn't be doing anything that bad in the United
States. Is that so? The fact is that we're doing something worse. Aren't American
companies selling human baby parts with the help of partial birth abortion? Yes, they
are. Needless to say, their purpose is "humane," even when they "harvest" the parts
they want while the victims are still quivering, even still alive. Remember that the
German doctors who killed "useless eaters" to save the national economy also claimed
to be "humane."
The "fanatics" who are presently being arrested and charged with conspiracy for
praying in front of abortuaries warned us that "humane" abortion was only the first
step -- that "safe" abortion for women in desperate circumstances could not stop
there. They were right. Selling human baby parts is the "harvest" produced by "partial
birth abortion," which the White House has fought to protect, and which has become a
billion-dollar industry, complete with brochures and price lists. A spinal cord is
$325; a kidney $125; a brain is $999. Eyes at eight weeks are a bargain, only $50.
Selling human baby parts is the latest manifestation of the Nazi threat in this
country, as bad as the worst of Dr. Mengele's crimes. Yes, we know the people who do
this have "reasonable" explanations. So did Dr. Mengele. On trial for war crimes, he
would have argued that his experiments on twins and other victims were meant to "help
humanity." Sadly, he was never caught, so we never got to hear him say it.
How did Hitler seize power? The process began with the Nazi "brown shirts" causing
turmoil in German streets. Crime, much of it caused by Nazis, became epidemic, driving
the people of Germany to desperation. The clich� says that desperate people do
desperate things, and it is true. At last, benumbed by fear, willing to give power to
anyone who promised to restore their ability to buy groceries without fear of assault,
the German people gave the power to Hitler, a drug user and occultist who had been a
music hall joke. The turmoil set the stage for the Holocaust, by giving Hitler the
power he needed to conduct it.
Among Hitler's laws, was one that confiscated all guns. Only Nazis were allowed to
have firearms. The law specifically forbade Jews to own guns. Does this surprise
anyone? Every dictator does the same thing, from Lenin to Castro. But Hitler did not
invent gun control; he inherited it -- along with the campaign to eradicate "useless
eaters" -- from the "civilized" people who ran the Weimar Republic, which he replaced.
In a 1928 law, the Weimar Republic mandated registration of guns. Hitler used those
lists to take the guns away. Hitler did invent handgun control. The Hitler law of 1938
took away the handguns, by turning registration into confiscation. Remember, all this
happened before the Holocaust. You can read all about it in "Waffenrecht" (Weapons
Law) published in Berlin in 1938 by Deutscher Verschlag.
Lay all that down beside what is happening in the United States today. Teen-age boys
are shooting up the nation's high schools. A crazy man barges into a Jewish center in
Los Angeles and shoots a five-year-old child. Desperate people again are beginning to
say that somebody, anybody, should do something, anything, to stop the killing, even
if the solution is illegal. Letters to the editor say that all the guns should be
confiscated and destroyed, the Second Amendment to the Constitution be damned.
There are serious suggestions that something be done to restrict the Internet, because
madmen like the Los Angeles shooter are using it to spread hate. Atrocities like his
now are called "hate crimes." A few years ago, we had never heard the term. Now, it
appears every day in the papers. What is a "hate crime?" Isn't it a crime for thinking
certain thoughts? You and I may not like those thoughts -- and we don't -- but do we
really want to make them illegal? Who gets to decide which thoughts are a crime? Could
freedom of speech itself be restricted? Only an agency of the federal government could
suppress "hate crimes." Why not establish one and call it the secret state police, or
Geheim Staats Polizei -- better known as the Gestapo?
Yes, the epidemic of shootings in this country is horrific, made even more so by the
fact that most of the victims are kids. There are madmen spreading true hate via the
Internet. But the present desperation is the best reason to enforce the Constitution,
rather than suspend it. Hitler's laws disarmed the Jews. In the same year, his Nazis
perpetrated Kristallnacht. Later, the Jews in Warsaw were able to defend themselves
only because they still had guns.
For years, politically approved "intellectuals" have solemnly scratched their pointy
heads and wondered aloud how the Nazis could have seized power in a country as
advanced and humane as Germany, the home of Beethoven and Heinrich Heine, where
Bismarck invented social security. Those "intellectuals," in the academy, in
government, in the media and multinational corporations, are presently installing
Nazism here.
It is perfectly true that there is not going to be a Holocaust in the United States
now. No police agency is going to round up the nation's Jews and cart them off to
concentration camps. But the operative word here is, "now." If the government in this
country has all the guns, as in Nazi Germany; if freedom of speech and even thought
are restricted, as in Nazi Germany; if human life is cheapened by the medical
profession, exactly as in Nazi Germany; the stage would be set for an American version
of the Holocaust. The object of the American Holocaust may or may not be Jews. The
victims could be members of some other group the government chooses as scapegoats.
Christians, for instance. The Establishment hates Christians, the only people one can
insult with impunity. Whoever the victims, the results could be the same. Could this
really happen? Yes, if we fail to invoke our basic freedoms.
