-Caveat Lector- An American has just posted this to my group and i think he has a point here. The Mermaid xxx   An interesting, and frustrating, development is the increase of middle-eastern people working in the airplane security field.   Some friends of mine just traveled from Washington State to NYC and back.  While we aren't allowed to 'profile' anyone of middle-eastern descent, though no one else is out to kill us as they are, it now appears that those people have become the major percentage of checkers at scanning points, much like they have taken over the taxi business in major cities.  So, it's as though the lion is guarding the cage while the victims are herded through the gates.   If middle-eastern people are running the gate security, how much can we rely on passengers of middle-eastern descent having their bags checked thoroughly for bombs and other contraband?   <A HREF="http://www.ctrl.org/">www.ctrl.org</A> DECLARATION & DISCLAIMER ========== CTRL is a discussion & informational exchange list.
