In IBM computer classes, you had to type 40 wpm to get into the computer school and I got my award of 120 wpm, on a manual typewriter in their stupid contest. It has been 15 years and that record still stands, something I neither needed or wanted - I just wanted computer basics. Oh yes, I can spell - but misspelled words are often a trademark......I do not use my spell checker, for I do not have time. Hope all is well with you, Mr. Stonehouse. As for the lousey spelling - hey, we used to have editors do the muckraking for us? You should see all the letters I have from my old MI6 friend who had many best seller books - but as she said, the editors do the muckraking for the pros. O'Saba Part 2: Just pulled up Mermaid's letter - she is a little more earthy than I am. At least the letter I read was about baseball and I hate baseball, but always loved baseball and football players. There is a difference in how you play the game. Perhaps Mermaid types very very fast, as do I, and further this little keyboard is battery operated and often I get ahead of the typing - the printing lags behind the sentence.
