To answer your top-posted question: by analogy with
http://ctwm.org/#mailinglist, I'd try sending a mail with "unsubscribe
ctwm" to [email protected] .

The current version of twm in NetBSD does XFree() such data, so I think
we should do that too. See

for instance GetClientID() in session.c.

Meanwhile I've made a little new private branch to look at MWM hints, to
make windows without border and/or title bar automatically. That would
probably help in environments such as Gnome, to get automatic title-less
docks and menu bars and whatnot. It's fairly simple, if one just ignores
all the other hints :-)
