It sounds like it may be intricate enough that it would be good to get
wider testing before landing.  Probably worth an explicit CFT; people
can grab it from the branch on LP, or you could publish a tarball (the
mk_tar.sh script in source automates that nicely, though you may need
to adjust the tar(1) invocation a little for different systems).

Indeed.  It seems to have mostly superceded the ICCCM WM stuff in
practice, which simplifies things a little (ignore something long
enough, and it goes away! ;).  But yeah, the specs I've seen do leave
something to be desired.
