I did notice some strange iconmanager behaviour too, but I checked and it was the same in both branches. I don't normally use them so I didn't look too closely, but it seemed that for me it was just one workspace that didn't show an iconmanager at all. I'll take a look at the restart behaviour where all windows are visible at once.
