Hello,
I started pypanel to see how it would play with ctwm (fbpanel was the
only other choice, and it crashed). The work-space-manager (WSM) was
beneath it as both were on the bottom of the display. I moved the WSM up,
so that it and pypanel were no longer sharing the same screen space (as
in, not raised, but moved). The problem is that despite the fact that the
WSM was not beneath pypanel, pypanel still has the WSM as part of the
image inside of pypanel.
I'm not certain if it is a bug in ctwm, pypanel, or perhaps an
underutilized WM hint that is causing this.
I'm attaching a picture so that you can see pypanel with the non-existent
WSM pictured inside. The WSM is pictured just above it.

BTW: I also tried out a few icon managers, they work fine.

Thanks,
David
