I'm giving it a try on my laptop. So far everything seems to work as
expected.

I have defined some key bindings to resize windows to particular sectors
of the screen (such as the 4 quadrants, and a 3-column layout), using m4
macros to calculate their coordinates from WIDTH and HEIGHT. Now *that*
doesn't work any more! Or rather, it of course uses all combined screens
for its calculations, rather than each individual screen.

That is of course totally expected, so it definitely isn't a showstopper
for the RandR feature.

But I am now left wondering if we can improve on this somehow. My
thoughts have ranged from making key bindings somehow depending on the
screen they are in (and then there must be some pre-defined m4 macros
for the screen layout so we can define the keys for each screen context
appropriately), to extending the "script" language with calculations or
even importing some existing script interpreter for the job.

Well, this is clearly something to not tackle too hasty and
un-thought-through.
