I'm about to reject this patch solely on the grounds that there's nobody who
seems interested enough to try out:

The patch is smallish and only modifies Windows-specific code.
Telnet is a bit if a weird match for libcurl anyway so I'm not surprised by
the lack of interest. I doubt very many people use libcurl with this protocol.
