I'm afraid these are all terms I've never heard before. Can you elaborate on exactly what this does in terms of networking and how exactly curl fails when you use this? Perhaps with some traces/verbose outputs from your curl use when it fails.
And stating something as vague as "latest version" always make me jump. Are you saying that curl 7.57.0 shows this problem while earlier versions, like 7.56.1, don't?
