A machine with a real i82915 device works fine without any tweaks required, albeit I am not sure now if I updated this machine before or after "TearFree" was defaulted to "on". I threw together a minimal "xorg.conf" and set it both ways and it seemed to make no difference in the display--it was working well regardless. I suppose I'll keep it set to "false" to avoid the memory/perfomance penalty. -- |/"\ John D.
