Thanks, that's helpful. I need some more advice. Apparently, I have gotten into a split-brain situation where /usr/sbin/pkg_info and /usr/pkg/sbin/pkg_info show me disjoint sets of packages. I would like to merge the two databases without reinstalling everything, if possible. For pkgdb, I imagine that moving all directories from /var/db/pkg to /usr/pkg/pkgdb should work. But how do I reconcile pkgdb.refcount? -- Benny
