     Yes, see PR/34632.  The rules haven't changed in forever.
Unfortunately, I recently moved into a smaller place so I don't
have my first edition K&R at hand, otherwise I would quote chapter
and verse.  Basically, people like this not only don't know C, but
they also aren't open to correction, and thus shouldn't be allowed
anywhere near a C compiler.
