Well, it was definitely other commit. This commit has no references
to any PR.

I'm not opposed to the maintainer switch here. I try to mark up
questions that occure after rather small commit log.

OK. The I suppose that all those facts should be reflected at the
commit log. I.e.:
. switch maintainership to the submitter [1].

PR: ports/NNNNN [1]
Approved by: former maintainer (timeout ... days),  [1]
             current maintainer (via private email)

There is absolutely no need to ask for forgiveness. It's all OK, we are
all human. The main goal of those my emails is to help newcomer(s) do a
better job.
