* Patch by Nathan Owens: attempt pi_bind multiple times, to allow for case
where device files are slow to appear.
* if HAL doesn't initialise correctly, log a warning but failover
to the legacy sysfs/usbfs polling code.
* bump pre-release patchlevel to 2.0.14pre5.
