- Remember to free the strings in the list beside the list itself
- Avoid useless GSList -> GList conversion
- Avoid unneeded allocations
- Avoid quadratic behavior (appending to a list in a for loop
is not a good idea, better to prepend and then reverse, but here
we can get rid of the new list at all)
