Dear Dan Roncadin,

Some examples excerpted from file 'readme.nt', to be described below :

  fred:V0ytEAiIbwHx2         # DES crypt()ed password
  bill:I9CJ9Xvejag2k:fred # bill doesn't have an account, so he uses freds.

--NOTE-- notice word 'fred' following bill's password.

I found that pserver now need an NT user's account to validate a CVS user. So you have
2 choices as examples above. Here, user 'fred' must be a real NT user though with
different password (recommended). Whereas 'bill' is a CVS user only, i.e. NO NT user
called 'bill' on this machine, validated by password specified in this file. However,
once 'bill' logged-in his CVS operation will be impersonated as 'fred' instead.

This happenned since 1.11.1.2 build 37 and later. DO NOT use build 39 (severe bugs).
I'm using build 40 which sounds fine though some bugs found when I want to manage
repository with it's GUI applet. (I have to stop cvs service, quit the GUI applet,
and run it again to start the service)

Please get the latest version of 'readme.nt' from www.cvsnt.org, it's updated.

Soen Udomworapant
