I might have misunderstood the original question, but my
interpretation was:
"Can W98 act as a CVSNT server?"
And to this question the answer is still No.

But of course W98 can work as a *client*. That is a totally different
issue and is very common. Many people use for example WinCvs as a
client on a W98 machine and access the CVSNT *server* on an NT machine
using pserver protocol. Works just fine.
